VisitCanberra
VisitCanberra, which is the official tourism organisation for Canberra and the ACT Government, developed an Action Plan 2023, which outlines specific activities which will be implemented to support the ACT Government’s Tourism Strategy 2030.
The plan incorporates Indigenous tourism policy objectives, prioritising support for Indigenous tourism business development. There is also a commitment to promoting local Indigenous experiences and opportunities for visitors to connect with Country and develop the sharing of knowledge, language and Culture with visitors.
The ACT Government has also agreed that, as plans continue to be developed for the Ngurra Cultural Precinct at Reconciliation Place, consultations with relevant stakeholders will be carried out to find ways to optimise the site and visitor experience.
