National Reconciliation Week
What can Australia’s tourism industry reflect on during National Reconciliation Week 2023?
In this video, the Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) Australia interviews the Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s Cameron Costello on what we can learn from Queensland’s strong support for indigenous tourism, why more travellers are seeking indigenous tourism experiences, the benefits and challenges of growing the indigenous tourism sector, and advice for tourism operators across Australia.
From 27 May to 3 June 2023, National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
This year’s theme is: Be a Voice for Generations. It encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives – where we live, work and socialise. For the work of generations past, and the benefit of generations future, act today for a more just, equitable and reconciled country for all.
This video was brought to you by Tourism & Transport Forum Australia.
TTF acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land and waters this interview was recorded on. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
