Bridj
BRIDJ, a subsidiary of Transit Systems, is a global leader in developing Demand Responsive Technology, with a focus on making public transport more appealing and efficient. BRIDJ seeks to provide enhanced connections between people and their destinations.
BRIDJ seeks to provide enhanced connections between people and their destination, whether that be their workplace, a mass transport hub, entertainment venue or other tourism destination
The BRIDJ Demand Responsive public transport model uses data to analyse demand, route in real time and cluster passengers to centralised pick up and drop off points to maximise the efficiency of the service. This allows BRIDJ to streamline the service and provide customers with the quickest route possible.
BRIDJ launched services in Sydney’s Inner West on 1 July as a part of the Region 6 Bus Contract to operate services in Inner Western Sydney, representing the best global example of a long term public transport contract that truly integrates both fixed route and demand responsive transit.
Prior to arriving in Australia, the BRIDJ technology was born in 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts out of a need to provide more transport options for parts of the city that were under serviced by public transport. Since then, BRIDJ has operated six commercial, trial and contracted services with many more in the pipeline. BRIDJ is now leveraging what it has learned from this depth of experience to further advance its technology in order to better serve a variety of public and commercial transport opportunities.
