TTF is committed to generating such a data mechanism as a post pandemic legacy, to increase and strengthen the voice of industry. This is an important opportunity for the sector. Hemisphere won a $1million grant from Australian Department of Science and Innovation: Business research and Innovation Initiative (BRII): intelligent data to transform tourism data delivery.
Using GPS data, credit card spend data and other web sourced data the platform is able to provide accurate and current insights nationally, state by state and regionally on tourism expenditure, overnight stays and their duration, daytrips and points of entry, multi-stop overs and journeys.
