Nicole Scurrah

Nicole heads Sayers’  Infrastructure and Major Projects group.  She has extensive experience in leadership roles in both the private and public sector with expertise in strategic planning, risk management, governance and policy design and implementation and change management.

Nicole established the Infrastructure and Major Project unit on foundation of  Sayers,  to deliver expert advice to public and private clients in specific areas of Infrastructure Strategy, Transport and Precincts.  The premium advisory is working with high profile govt and private clients on some of the nations most iconic projects, in all states on the east coast of Australia.

Nicole previously worked in private business including PwC where she led the group relationship on the government account based in Queensland.  Amongst varying advisory Nicole also delivered advice to public and private clients on various governance for infrastructure projects including planning, infrastructure and treasury.   Prior to this she was Chief Operating Office at Telstra Health, where she led team who to bid, develop, deliver and implement the Commonwealth Governments National Cancer Register – a national health infrastructure project to deliver a single service across all states and territories.

Nicole brings extensive public sector leadership and commercial expertise, through roles with the Queensland government, having been integrally involved in the design and implementation of the original corporatisation reform model in Queensland.  She previously held various roles in the government across economic portfolios where at the time, the government with a budget of more than $50 b AUD, the government undertook planning reform, established new authorities, developed a new LNG industry and undertook a average $15b annual infrastructure program including the delivery of the largest road tunnel, implementation of a new light rail network and a $6b water grid project.

Prior to joining the state government Nicole worked as commercial and planning advisory role at the nation’s largest council and prior to this in several commercial roles post studying law and commerce at Monash University.
