About

As we learn to live and adapt with the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic – the single biggest challenge our sectors have faced – the road to a full recovery comes with significant challenges and opportunities. In this environment we have a chance to reshape the tourism, aviation, public transport industries and to build a more sustainable future.

Join us and fellow CEO / Senior Executives at the Tourism & Transport Forum’s inaugural Green Revolution Summit – the pathway to sustainable tourism, aviation and public transport sectors on Thursday 10 March 2022 at SkyPoint, Surfers Paradise. Hear from industry leaders and innovators as they outline their plans for the road beyond and reaching critical targets.

The eyes of the world are on us and in a political environment where carbon emission targets are controversial and have the potential to shape election outcomes we have the chance to take the lead and show our commitment to that future – one where environmental concerns are already starting to have an impact on the purchasing decisions of travellers.

The Summit will bring together public and private sector experts and comprises a full day summit (approx. 10:00am-3.30pm), followed by Industry Cocktails (approx. 4:00pm-6:00pm).

Program

The inaugural Summit will feature the theme ‘The pathway to sustainable tourism, aviation and public transport sectors’.  The program will offer a broader range of topics such as:

  • Sustainable aviation: The flight path to net zero
  • Travelling green: Fostering a competitive and sustainable tourism industry
  • Building biofuel production: Making the switch
  • The green revolution: A strategy for the decarbonisation of global public transport networks

The Tourism & Transport Forum reserves the right to make alterations to the conference summit, speakers, venue and timings. Details of speakers and topics are correct at the time of publishing, however, circumstances beyond the control of the Tourism & Transport Forum may require substitutions of speakers and sessions for which we cannot be held responsible.
