Melbourne The Place To Be For TTF’s Outlook 2016 – Australia’s Premier Visitor Economy Conference

The Tourism & Transport Forum Australia (TTF) is proud to announce that its agenda-setting visitor economy conference – Outlook 2016 – will be held in Melbourne at the Crown Conference Centre on 3 June to celebrate the conference’s historic 10th anniversary.

Outlook 2016 will bring together more than 150 CEOs and senior executives from Australia’s leading operating, marketing and investment companies in the accommodation, aviation and tourism sectors. Outlook provides new knowledge and inspiration, networking and business opportunities for our sector’s industry leaders.

International keynote speakers Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths and VisitBritain Chairman Christopher Rodrigues CBE will provide insightful commentary on the global forces shaping the industry and driving the need for innovative solutions to the needs and demands of the future traveller.

Federal Minister for Trade and Investment the Hon Steven Ciobo MP and Victorian Tourism Minister the Hon John Eren MP will be speaking at the conference.

This year will mark the first occasion that the Outlook conference will be held outside of Sydney, recognising the importance of Melbourne and Victoria to Australia’s booming visitor economy.

“Marking the 10th anniversary of the Outlook 2016 conference is a significant milestone and achievement for TTF. We want to shake things up this year, so we are packing our bags and taking Outlook on the road to Melbourne for the very first time,” said Margy Osmond, TTF CEO.

“Victoria represents a crucial segment of Australia’s visitor economy with domestic and international visitor expenditure totalling $18.6 billion or 20 per cent of the entire visitor market.

“It’s marvellous to be able to bring Outlook to Melbourne this year to highlight opportunities to leverage our visitor assets in all of Australia’s great cities.

“The Outlook 2016 conference is our opportunity to come together as an industry, share knowledge and ideas and engage with the thought leaders from across Australia and the wider world on the innovations and revolutions that are shaping the global visitor economy.

“With a Federal Election closing in and the visitor economy performing well above the average compared to the rest of the Australian economy; now is the time to position the sector as a key pillar of Australia’s future employment and economic growth agenda.

The Outlook 2016 program will focus on the following themes:

 Securing a larger share of the burgeoning Asian market;

 Innovating and responding to a changing marketplace;

 Investing in the infrastructure of the future; and

 Developing a stronger visitor experience in Australia.

This year’s exceptional line-up includes speakers discussing the opportunities and challenges for the tourism sector in the coming years and how we can work together to shape a brighter future for our industry.
